Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway electric locomotive No 2, 26 July 1917.
The locomotive, which had two battery-powered 18 hp motors, was built to haul coal trains at Clifton power station. The power station generated electricity for trains on the Manchester to Bury service.
Locomotive No 2 served at the power station until 1946, and was then operated at Greenhill Sleeper Works in Derby.
